On Cyprus except for an opportunity to have a vacation on the sea and to visit historical sights it is possible to see some festivals. In Limassol there are two famous festivals - the Carnival on a pancake week, with magnificent costumed processions, parades and balls (lasts two weeks), and an annual Holiday of wine (August - September), including tasting of the Cyprian wines, concerts and theatrical representations, competitions of singers and dancers. In July - August passes festival of an ancient Greek drama. Performances are held in ancient amphitheatre of Curion, and also in Paphos Odeon, in Forte of Larnaca and on the Monastic area in Ayia Napa. So you could see everything you need to stay here for about 2 or 3 weeks. It is better to rent a villa in that city where will pass an interesting carnival for you. On Cyprus there are a lot of cyprus villas therefore it is always possible to find a suitable villa for your budget. It is possible also to take part in a carnival if you saw it not for first time.
